After the BODA SKINS community loved the Varsity Onyx jacket, we thought it was only right to dive back into the feelings the varsity jacket emits: confidence, comfortability, and a feeling of nostalgia that only the most homely jackets can hold.
This time, our Oilers Varsity takes inspiration from a treacherous journey taken on by Mel Stultz, and his crew of bikers: the Oilers Car Club’s Race of Gentleman - or better known as the Crazy 8 crew. The Crazy 8’s began a journey across some of the most challenging terrains on the planet, with a cross country exhibition across the United States - and, you know what, they looked very cool doing it.

The willingness the Crazy 8’s showed to capture the moment, and to defeat any task in front of them inspired the latest Oilers Varsity here at BODA HQ, and we believe that the perfect attire can exist to break the boundaries we never knew we could. The Oilers Varsity strives to integrate characteristics that can take on winter-harshness while alluding to a lightweight look that portrays a look of readiness to take on any challenge that comes your way.
This Varsity silhouette is one of the most exciting drops to come from February, keeping things sharp and fitted to become one of the front-runners for BODA SKINS smart-casual attire. Bringing in premium brushed viscose, wool melton with Italian lambskin Nappa leather.
Finer details in the technical elements see ribbing being introduced for the collar and cuffs, with contrasting stripes tying the whole feature together. Winter protection is highlighted once more with extra padding being included in the arms and body. Matt-black metal press studs pin down the collection of pockets that are involved in this silhouette, with the standout pockets being spotted on the chest, and internally, with one deeper section being partnered with a useful phone compartment. BODA SKINS branding can also be spotted with our handcrafted debossed lambs leather patch on the sleeve.
